Snapped: St. George's Day Festival 2018

inSwindon's free annual St. George’s Day Festival is took place yesterday (22nd April); the fun-filled day of live music and entertainment in the town centre was a treat for the whole family! Check out our snaps from the festival below...

Thousands of people attended the festival celebrating England’s patron saint with live music, children's games and prizes, Blaze the Dragon, free facepainting, maypole dancing, falconry displays, St George's Parade and a talent competition.

The parade was led by St George and a dragon, with Mayor Maureen Penny in full ceremonial garb close behind and marching band the Britannia Majorettes performing rousing melodies.

Best of Swindon Talent Competition finals also featured at the festival at Wharf Green, with performances by Melody Chan, Amelie Jadhav, Tamara Lee, Ben Kay, Omolola Funsho, Nathanael Parker, Kody Bowler and Lucianna Lambert.
