Lambing

The lambing, calving and farrowing season gets underway again at Roves Farm this March and it’s our favourite time of year!

The main flock of breeding ewes are due to lamb, and Roves Farm are expecting over 400 lambs to be born in the barn this month. Although they cannot  guarantee  it, there is a good chance you might even be able to see one  being born! Meet the new born lambs in  the barn, before they head out to the fields to enjoy the sunshine  and  grass.

The Spring calving Sussex cows are due to calve  throughout March.  The perfect time to meet the new born  calves in the barn and to get up close to some of the Sussex cattle.

Plus, new litters of piglets every month. Meet the piglets of all shapes and sizes to scratch and cuddle!

There's also the farm's full daily programme of events to enjoy, including:

  • Meet & Feed the Animals
  • Tractor Rides
  • Pets Corner
  • Children's Crafts
  • Indoor Play Barn
  • Outdoor Adventure Play Areas
  • Den Building
