The Best Food Hack I've Discovered Amid the Covid-19 Lockdown

We're all in lock-down and those not in complete self isolation will know only too well that even once you've queued to get in to the supermarket you'd be lucky to find enough produce to stock up for a weeks worth of recipes.

Added to the mix of working from home, home schooling or entertaining babies/toddlers, caring for pets, laundry and cleaning (the list is endless), the thought of providing a never ending menu of nourishing family meals and the prep, cooking and washing up this entails is less that palatable.
Fortunately, because we already work with the fabulous team and Hospitality Services 247, I've been quick off the mark in finding a solution - oh what a game changer!
The local catering company were quick to adapt and diversify and their new service of freshly prepared meals are available for deliveries or collection and they already have a good selection of dishes on their online ordering page on their website.
The ordering process was super easy; all the dishes were easy to find and the payment process was slick. Communication was superb too and they kept in touch to let me know when they'd be dropping the food outside of the house (they just drop outside the front door and call you to let you know it's there to abide by social distancing measures), and everything is created and packaged with extreme hygiene measures in place.
This weeks order was for my husband, my 2.5 year old daughter and I, so we ordered enough for a few evening meals, lunch and a treat; 2 x chicken and mushroom pies, 2 x lamb casseroles, 4 x diced herb potatoes, 2 x tomato soups and 2 x sticky toffee puddings which all came to £38 including delivery which is fantastic value especially considering the quality of the food and ingredients. The casserole alone would have cost at least £10 to make from scratch at home.
All of the dishes were restaurant quality (apart from the frozen veg we served up with them!) - needs must! The Lamb casserole was the tastiest casserole I've ever had  - genuinely; tender meat, plenty of vegetables, luxuriously thick gravy which was perfectly seasoned and had a really delicious hint of mint. The pie's were generously filled, the diced herb potatoes a really tasty treat and although 'just' tomato soup, it was absolutely delicious. My daughter even kept asking for 'more', kept declaring how delicious and yummy it was and made a spectacular mess of her face licking the bowl clean! You can't get much more approval than that (this has never happened with my cooking I might add!)
This has been the best Covid investment I have made so far; it's a much needed treat a few times a week, the dishes are a much healthier (and cheaper) alternative to fast food delivery, it's quick and easy, you can freeze all of the dishes so you don't have to use up the same week if you don't need to, it supports a fantastic local small business and gives me the peace of mind that I know we will be well fed fuss free at least a few times a week.
We'll definitely be continuing with a weekly order and I really would recommend you all be kind to yourselves and give yourself the odd break and use this fantastic local service.
Thanks so much to all the team at Hospitality Services 247! Just click here to view their menu and to place your order.
