SNAPPED: Swindon Designer Outlet Train Move

Today (22nd August) Swindon Designer Outlet waved goodbye to their train, Hinton Manor, after 10 years and welcomed his sister train, Ditcheat Manor. Check out our gallery below...

It was a fantastic moment in their History at Swindon Designer Outlet; a day for family and friends to welcome the new train, Ditcheat Manor...

Ditcheat Manor

Ditcheat Manor was the second of the later British Railways (Western) Manors, built in 1950 at Swindon Railway Works. Ditcheat Manor spent time based at Oxley in the West Midlands and Newton Abbot in Devon before being withdrawn from service in 1965.  Ditcheat Manor was abandoned in a scrapyard in South Wales between 1965 and 1980 before it was rescued and restored by West Somerset Railway, who are loaning it to us for safe-keeping.
