SAMARITANS JOIN A MAGICAL TRAIL TO LIGHT UP OUR STREETS
The Window Wanderland is a terrific, fun and free opportunity to explore the Eastcott area in Swindon, thanks to a National Lottery grant this weekend. Over 120 local residents, organisations and businesses have signed up to light up their local area so that you can wrap up and explore your vibrant community.
Bevirs Law are one of our local businesses who have signed up to light up - and have kindly invited Swindon & District Samaritans to decorate their office windows as well as greet visitors with an offer of cups of tea this Saturday and Sunday evening as well as providing a few treats for the little ones.
Samaritans volunteer branch director, Darren Tee said: “This creative event is also a great opportunity to raise awareness of our round the clock service which is provided free by our local volunteers to anyone who needs the space and time to talk about whatever is getting to them. We are very grateful to Bevirs for inviting us to be part of this.”
Hayley Tarrant, Bevirs Marketing & Business Development Manager, is enthusiastic about being part of this new event – saying: “We’re very excited to be working alongside Swindon & District Samaritans for what promises to be a great community event to light up the area and we look forward to welcoming lots of people to Regents Circus.”
Bevirs are opposite the Central Library and Swindon Dance in Regents Circus and who are both participating.
