NEW COLLEGE SWINDON OPENS ITS DOORS TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

New College will be welcoming prospective students on Saturday 5th October 10am-2pm, to learn about the range of courses, support and opportunities available.

Greater freedom and a much wider choice of subjects than a school Sixth Form, are just some of the reasons why school-leavers should consider college. With over 140 courses, 38 different A-level subjects and brand new pathways, with clear links to university and career destinations, there are fantastic options for all at New College.

As one of the leading providers of post-16 study in the area, New College offers students the chance to achieve great results in a supportive and inspiring learning environment. Students in 2019 achieved a 98% pass rate, with 41% of A-level grades at A* and 58% Distinctions for BTEC Extended Diploma. The college has been rated “Good” by OFSTED for over 20 years, and has the highest 16-18 achievement among local colleges.

New College offers an additional range of unique opportunities, including the ability to fast-track courses, specialist one-to-one tutor support and extra assistance with university applications, including Oxbridge. The Open Day will allow young people to learn more about the opportunities available to help them get to their dream university or career. Staff will be on hand to discuss study options and the enrichment activities offered, and students will be available to chat about the realities of college life. There will also be tours of facilities, including the Learning Resource Centre, Sports Centre, Theatre, and Recording Studio.
