Contactless is Now Available to Use on Thamesdown Buses!
From now on, you will find it easier than ever to travel around Swindon - thanks to the introduction of contactless payments on Thamesdown Buses.
Thamesdown Buses have been continuously seeking new ways to enhance their services offered to those living and working in and around Swindon, since their new owner Go South Coast took the reins earlier this year.
This latest move is expected to increase accessibility and speed up overall journey times.
From June 14th 2017 Thamesdown Buses will be accepting all contactless payment types, including apple and android - as well as wearable devices like apple watch.
They are the first operator in Swindon to offer this facility - and it is all about providing customers with quicker and more convenient ways to pay.
Thamesdown would like to reassure customers who prefer to use other payment methods - like cash and TravelCard - that they will still be able to do so.
Contactless follows the recent introduction of 13 brand new buses, and 2 new routes which arrived in May.
The aim is to give people more choice, helping to make sustainable transport an even more attractive option here in Swindon and the bus company is looking forward to hearing the views of those trying out the new system!
