Wiltshire Beauty Clinic Scoops National Award

Sam Francome, owner of Hazelwood Beauty in Sutton Benger near Chippenham, is celebrating winning a national award.

The clinic won Best Boutique Salon in the UK for the Luxury Travel Guide magazine under their spa section.

Sam, who set up Hazelwood at her farmhouse 15 years ago, said she was stunned to find out she had won.

“Honestly, I double-checked, I Googled, I thought ‘is this real?’ Is it really happening?’! For us it was fantastic because we’ve entered different awards in order to become well known in our sector. This win means visitors and tourists might flick through this magazine and come across it in airports, estate agents and hotels and people are starting to notice us, which is great.”

Sam has a team of 11 staff and therapists working from a purpose-built bespoke barn on her land. The project was completed 18 months ago when Sam realised running a clinic from her own home was no longer an option. 

Within the clinic, the therapists use only natural and organic products and offer therapies ranging from massage and aromatherapy to manicures and facial yoga. There are even aesthetic doctors available for fillers and Botox. 

Sam believes this latest award shows her team are on the right track, delivering what clients want.

She said: “It’s very empowering. For us, and for me as a salon owner particularly, when you’re trying to get your message across about what sort of establishment you want to create,. It’s fantastic that people are noticing and saying ‘well done, we like what you’re doing’. That helps you drive forward and feel confident.”
