Your top marketing tips for 2021?
a). You need to be visible in not only the markets you operate in but where you also want to be. How are your new markets going to find you if they do not know you are there?
b). Think ahead of not just your consumers now but where they will be in the next six months / one year / five years and adapt to meet their needs.
c). Always have fresh ideas in the pipe line to stay ahead.
Your top financial tips for 2021?
a). Always be aware of all the costs only then will you know if the decision is right for your business.
b). Review, review and review. Don’t just set a plan and follow as the world is changing every day.
c). Look for efficiency and effectiveness in everything you do

a). Julianne Ponan – the most inspirational person I have ever met & had the pleasure of working with..
b). Tony Clare – my reality checker who always tells me how it is.

What are your ethics for 2021?
a). Be honest
b). Be open to new concepts and ways of working
c). Be efficient and effective in everything you do
What is your take on the word ‘free’ in business?
Nothing is free but there are actions we can take across businesses, within teams, alongside suppliers or with our customers and consumers where we can add value without a high cost. We just need to listen.
What will you be focusing on this year?
a). Continue on my journey with Creative Nature after joining in Q4 2019 as part of the team to deliver all our plan and aspirations.
b). Establishing my other self-employed business interests working alongside other small businesses in a support, strategy or sales function.
c). Developing my own skills throughout the year & taking pride in everything I do!
What are your ‘absolute no-nos’ for 2021 in business?
a). Invoicing for activity that hasn’t taken place – it's more frequent than you think!
b). We are all busy – it someone contacts you at least have the grace to respond even if it is no thank you. Ignoring phone calls / emails / messages at a time when we are mainly working remotely is difficult. We need to be supportive of each other.
c). Never promise / commit to do something and then not deliver – this can be internally within a business or externally with suppliers / customers.
What are you doing for charity or community this year?
I am very active within my immediate locality on supporting the elderly in sourcing shopping, attending medical appointments and help around their homes. I work full time and also care for my family as a single mum after losing my husband n 2019. It keeps me busy, but I am proud of the support I am giving.
