Paul Bailey from Really Awesome Coffee - Summer Q&A 2021

Let's continue to celebrate the fantastic business owners we have in our region and beyond. Today we're talking to Paul Bailey who is the owner of Really Awesome Coffee, based in West Swindon offering coffee experiences.

JUNE is the first month of summer – what will you be doing this summer in your business/organisation/role?

We have a fantastic range of fresh fruit and fresh vegetable smoothies, Iced teas, lemon and raspberry along with a wide range of flavoured milkshakes, iced coffees and frappes all of which are ideal on a summer's day. In addition, we have something special planned, which is a little hush hush at the moment, but watch this space!

What are your personal plans for summer activities?

This year, I think it will be work work work over the summer, as we have had a rough 18 months and now people are returning to some kind of normality, I want to be able to add to their newfound freedom. Possibly a winter sun break after the summer!

June is National Smile Month. With that in mind, what things in your business/organisation/role make you smile?

a) being on the back of the van serving customers

b) hearing the positive comments from customers in relation to the drinks range I have and how they enjoy them

c) a cold cider on a Friday night!

Are there any things in business generally which make you ‘less smiley’?

The recent weather in May – what’s was that all about? Hail stones and coffee don’t mix well!!!

June is often associated in nature with growth and abundance – what are your plans for growth in your business/organisation/role this year?

This is little hush hush at the moment, however, we are looking to expand our operation, but there a few things that need to drop into place first.

As we hit this mid point in 2021 and we’re still coming out of the pandemic – which one business has really supported or helped you over the last quarter?

The fact that I opened the business in the lockdown, all my customers have been exceptionally supportive, which has been really encouraging to see. Without them, we wouldn’t have a business, so a huge thank you to all of them – they know who they are!! Thank you!

Have you got any events planned for the coming months which you’d like to mention – where you and/or your business will take a leading role?

Not at present, as a lot of the events that are scheduled for this year have contracts rolling over from last year, which is fair enough, however, we continue to develop relationships with event management companies and are looking forward to getting our first event, whenever that may be. Having said that we are attending Shaw Ridge Primary School's Summer Fete on July 16th, which we are really looking forward too!

Have you got any summer services or special offers you’d like to mention?

We have a great selection of frappes, fresh fruit and vegetable smoothies, ice coffees and milkshakes along with raspberry and lemon iced tea (which are to die for!) In addition, we do supply buffet lunches once companies start meeting and training again.
