What are your plans for July and August in your business?
As the covid restrictions are slowly being lifted I can finally plan to move forward, increase the size of the studio and promote new photography offerings.
What are your personal plans for this month?
I am looking forward to a few days off to relax and build up strength for the second half of the year.
This year I have decided to explore Wales with long day trips to hone my love of landscape photography. Scotland tour scheduled for later in the year.
Does July hold any particular significance for you or your business/organisation?
July is a great month to ponder how the first half of the year has been and reflect on the successes.
July 19 was been dubbed ‘freedom day’ what things will you be looking forward to in business and life that you’ve had to put on hold?
I am looking forward to meeting people face to face rather than remotely through a screen.
Also just getting out and about more, without fear.
It’s also the month when the summer Olympics – Tokyo 2020 – begin. Do you have an Olympic thoughtsyou’d like to share?
I’m afraid I find the summer Olympics a little cold. I prefer watching the winter Olympics instead (which are cold!).
July is often associated with sport in the UK – with other events like the British Open (golf) and also Wimbledon? How important is sport to you in your life or business?
I enjoy watching golf and have friends who are professional ball spotters. So for me the additional fun is to try and spot them around the course doing their jobs. Not that I am envious – hmm.
On a much lighter note – July 17 was World Emoji Day and this often trends on social media. What do you think of emojis?
I’m sure I use the wrong emoji all the time. There should be a course describing what they should all be used for!
Can you name one business you’d like to give a summer shout out too?
I would like to thank Fiona from Scott Media in supporting me throughout these testing times. Without PR, marketing campaigns fall on deaf ears.
Have you got any events planned for the coming months which you’d like to mention?
When I have found and moved in to my new studio premises I am planning a suitable open day.
The new studio will also allow me to offer various photography classes covering all aspects of taking successful photographs whether in the studio or out and about.
