LEADING SPORTS THERAPY TRAINER SHORT-LISTED FOR ‘TUTOR OF THE YEAR’ AWARD

Dawn Morse, sport and health sciences expert and founder of leading sports massage and sports therapy training company, Core Elements, has been shortlisted in the Tutor of the Year category by the Federation of Holistic Therapists(FHT) as part of its 2018 Excellence Awards.

“This is very exciting and a huge honour. Especially as several of Core Element’s students nominated me for this award and reflects the value my courses have delivered for them,” said Dawn. 

“It is also fantastic to be recognised within my industry as the FHT is the UK and Ireland’s leading professional association for therapists.”

Becoming a finalist follows hot on the heels of two other awards recognising Dawn’s professionalism – one from Corporate LiveWire, the provider of business news and developments to business professionals and a second from Luxury Travel Guide Lifestyle, which recognises and celebrates excellence across all sectors of the affluent travel and tourism industry.

Dawn, who lives in Brinkworth with her family, has impressive credentials: a Master’s degree in Sports and Health Sciences, a post graduate certificate in further and higher education, has lectured in sports science and therapy for over ten years, was the programme leader for the foundation degree in sports therapy for the University of Bath and now tutors part-time for the Open University.

The 2018 FHT Excellence Awards are designed to showcase how professional therapy trainers and practitioners are making a difference to those living and working in their local community. 

“Students completing our sports massage and sports therapy training courses, combined with Core Element’s sports injury clinic and yoga classes and retreats, can play a key role in reducing their own clients’ daily stress levels, reducing muscular pain, improving sleep and nutritional habits and increasing feelings of wellness and vitality.”

Christopher Byrne, FHT President and awards judge, said: ‘Having looked through all of this year’s entries during the shortlisting process, we were once again really impressed by the calibre of those who entered, along with the diverse range of services and support they offer.”

The winners of the 2018 FHT Excellence Awards will be announced at an event at The King’s Fund in London, on Thursday 29 November.
