LEADING HEATING AND PLUMBING COMPANY CELEBRATES RAISNG £6,000 FOR THE BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION

John and Debbie Williams, co-founders of one of Wiltshire’s most successful heating and plumbing companies, have announced they have raised more than £6,000 for charity – in spite of having donations stolen from their offices.

The pair, who started their company from their Chippenham home in 2004, and this year celebrates 15 years in business, now employs a team of 26. 

Throughout this year their main fundraising efforts have been for the British Heart Foundation in memory of John’s father Steve who passed away over a year ago due to heart failure. 

Earlier this year they held a Black Tie Charity Ball which raised more than £4,300 alone – however, the pair were heartbroken when thieves broke into their premises the day before the event and stole donations which had already been given.

Debbie said: “It was devastating for money donated to this great cause to be taken by thieves who didn’t care about that or about our business. Break-ins like this can cripple or even destroy a small business. 

“However our clients, friends, and colleagues in business were fantastic in supporting us and made many donations to replace the stolen money. We are very grateful and would like to thank everyone who has donated and supported us.”

“We’re humbled by the support we’ve had to date,” John said. “This year has been a milestone for the business and for me personally. The Ball was a huge success and I’ve run several half marathons to raise money too – I’m now much fitter and healthier and I’m thrilled we’re able to donate such healthy sum for vital research into heart disease.”

Dedicated to their community, John Williams Heating Services is known for the charitable projects they support and the community events they sponsor every year including the Chippenham Half Marathon and the Chippenham Christmas Light Switch On.
