January Talk with Nick White

TIPS FOR SUCCESS IN 2022!

January is speeding by and it's only a week until the month turns into February. Sharing some of his thoughts about business in the new year is Nick White, who is a sports and clinical therapist based in Swindon at TiME Clinics. Nick helps active people over 40 to recover from pain and injury.

What are your top PR tips for 2022?
1. Be more visible, build on where you were in 2021.
2. Understand that visibility is an investment and will take time. 
3. Build in time in your diary - or pay someone to support you - to be visible on social media or in the media. Every little truly helps. Trust the process.

What are top financial tips this year?
1. Know your goals and your numbers. 
2. When you know your own numbers, you can plan carefully what you can spend and where. If you struggle with this, get help.
3. Celebrate every milestone, however small, as success comes through small incremental steps.

What are your ethics for this year? 
Compassion, responsibility, respect – all vitally important in a healthcare setting

What do you want from your suppliers this year in terms of ethics? 
Customer focus, clear communication and honesty

What will you be investing in this year? 
Marketing & PR, updating my website, and my own education as I'm currently studying for a degree in osteopathy at the College of Osteopaths in London.

What will you be doing differently in 2022? 
Finding new ways to reach out to people in the Swindon and Wiltshire community who are in need of my services and using the strategies already mentioned. 

What are you doing for charity or community this year? 
I’d like to find more ways of working with a local charity that is health related so I'm looking to offer support.

My wife and I recently treated ourselves to new mountain bikes so we donated our decent quality road bikes to Swindon Recycles, a Salvation Army Social Enterprise based in the town centre.

There are multiple ‘awareness’ days & weeks & months in January 2022 – could you pick just one and say why you’ll be engaging with it: My highlight this month was on Monday January 24 as it was, believe it or not, National Peanut Butter Day.

This day was created many years ago to allow peanut butter lovers to celebrate the creation of this wonderful food.

I’m a fan of peanut butter (natural with as few added ingredients as possible) and would recommend it to anyone (unless of course you are allergic to nuts).

It has a well-balanced fatty acid and antioxidant profile which can give some great health benefits including helping to maintain good cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure. 

It’s quite high in calories so be careful with the portion size. I’ll use peanut butter when making protein pancakes, low carbohydrate snacks and will even spread some on a stick of celery if I’m looking for a quick healthy snack that will keep hunger pangs away.
