This is an exciting and diverse role supporting almost every department within the company.

Salary: £15,000 - £17,000 dependant on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours

The role presents a unique opportunity to become immersed in this unique business and develop the foundations for a successful career by building on existing talents and developing many new skills. 

Part of a small, driven and dynamic, team you will provide support to the Front of House and Conferencing team including both administrative tasks and manual work such as setting up of tables & chairs for events. 

You will also support our Facilities co-ordinator in the upkeep and maintenance of the building and coordination ofexhibitors and marketing/design agencies regarding the installation & upkeep of their display stands within the visitor centre. 

The role will also involve providing administrative back-up to the sales and events team and supporting the Managing Director with various administrative tasks.

You will present yourself professionally and have a friendly telephone manner and be equally confident talking to individuals or small groups in the centre. 

You will be able to enter data quickly and accurately and have proficient knowledge/experience using Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook email and be able to pick up bespoke IT systems quickly. Due to the location of the Centre, your own transport is necessary. Free parking is available.

Primarily based at the Centre you may be required to travel to external events on occasion to represent the NSBRC. 

You must be completely prepared to roll your sleeves up and complete a wide range of tasks, for different teams, when needed. Above all you will have a fantastic attitude and be excited about our vision for the business and embrace our shared values.

The package offers a competitive salary, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro-rata). Key Skills:

Some of the tasks you will be undertaking include: 

Visitor Centre management 

  • Turn on stands (lights, display monitors etc.) before the Centre opens to the public 
  • Produce & record stand audits using i-auditor software to check for faults/items not working etc. and manage reporting and contact exhibitors to advise of issues 
  • Regular stand/display checks (barcodes in holders etc.) 

Sales support

  • Maintain the display stand availability map and supporting administration 
  • Zoho database upkeep and add sales prospect details 
  • Filing of exhibitor contracts 

Facilities support

  • Ensure weekly/monthly maintenance checks are completed and recorded 
  • Regular checks & upkeep (including replacement of light bulbs) in educational zones 

Conference support  

  • Conference Setup/breakdown 
  • Welcome Host  Producing weekly conference signing in/out sheets 
  • Producing weekly conference board and room signs 

Front of House support 

  • Booking visitors in/out including providing a Centre orientation & demonstration of our unique barcode scanning system
  • Face to face & telephone customer service
  • Checking of all barcodes before shows/events 
  • Administration support for MD
