Ultimate Oriental Restaurant to Open in Swindon

There’s something new coming to heart of Old Town, as restaurant owner Alan Mok looks to bring new lease of life to former Studio nightclub.

Alan Mok, owner of Swindon Rendevous, now has the keys to the former Studio Nightclub in Hooper’s Place. The larger than life venue holds fantastic potential, and there are million pound plans in the works.

Having been vacant for some time, the venue has now been snapped up by expert hands, and is set to open by September as a top of the range oriental restaurant.

Mok, who is also a partner at the neighbouring Kenzo 72 has released plans to close his second restaurant, Le Rendevous on Haydon Street by the end of this month, and the Swindon Rendevous by Wyvern Theatre nearer the opening of the new restaurant.

The cogs are in motion, with plans to invest over £1m to give the former nightclub a new lease of life. The club that was once well known as Mission, and briefly Tiger Bills, boasts several rooms, and floors that will soon become a suave and modern eatery.

With a little ‘London’ inspiration, the new venue will surely be a hotspot for Swindon’s foodies, and cocktail lovers. If the success of Swindon Rendevous, and Kenzo 72 are anything to go by, it seems we’re in for a treat come September.

Still in the early days, there are many more announcements and surprises to come, so keep your eyes peeled for updates.
